Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about SanPay.

General

What is SanPay?

SanPay is a crypto infrastructure platform that provides two main products: Wallet Manager for real-time wallet monitoring and Payment Gateway for accepting cryptocurrency payments. We handle the blockchain complexity so you can focus on building your application.

Which blockchains do you support?

We currently support Bitcoin, Ethereum, and major EVM-compatible chains. We're continuously adding support for more blockchains based on customer demand.

Do I need blockchain expertise to use SanPay?

No! Our APIs are designed to be intuitive for any developer. You don't need to run nodes, understand block confirmations, or deal with blockchain complexity. We handle all of that for you.

Wallet Manager

How fast are transaction notifications?

Typically within 1-2 seconds of a transaction appearing in the mempool. For confirmed transactions, you'll be notified as soon as the block is mined.

Can I monitor addresses I don't own?

Yes, you can monitor any public blockchain address. This is useful for tracking customer deposits, exchange wallets, or any other addresses relevant to your business.

What happens if my webhook endpoint is down?

We automatically retry failed webhook deliveries with exponential backoff. Retries continue for up to 24 hours. You can also query our API for any missed events.

Payment Gateway

How long do customers have to complete a payment?

By default, payment requests expire after 30 minutes. This can be customized via the API when creating a payment request.

What if a customer pays the wrong amount?

We detect underpayments and overpayments automatically. You'll receive a webhook notification with the details, and you can decide how to handle it in your application.

Do you handle refunds?

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible by nature. We provide an API to record refunds for your accounting, but the actual refund transfer must be initiated separately.

Pricing & Billing

Is there a free tier?

Payment Gateway offers pay-as-you-go pricing with no monthly fees—you only pay 1% per transaction. Wallet Manager offers a 14-day free trial on all plans.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and cryptocurrency payments (naturally!). Enterprise customers can also pay via invoice.

Security

Is SanPay secure?

Yes. We use encryption at rest and in transit, implement strict access controls, and maintain comprehensive audit logs.

Do you store private keys?

For Wallet Manager, we only need public addresses—no private keys required. For Payment Gateway, payment addresses are managed securely with industry best practices.

Where is my data stored?

Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure with geographic redundancy. We can provide data residency options for Enterprise customers.
